I wanted to share this with you guys, this rifle is awesome (24" DPMS LR-308 @ 100 yds.). Thank You, Bob Rhodes, Pacific Small Arms, Bend, OR.

Jason Notch Target

DPMS Sales Rep, Jason Notch, shot this group while sighting in for an upcoming show. He used an LR-260L with 120 Grain Federal ammo at 100 yards.

After reading reviews of your LR-308, I was skeptical of some of the "out of the box" claims some people were making. I decided to give you rifle a go and see if they were true remarks. I broke my DPMS LR-308 in with 120 round of cheap Remington hunting ammo. The gun functioned fine, it was the performance of the rounds that I was upset with. I finally received three boxes of "match grade" ammunition from three manufactures. The first group of five (Hornady 168 grain Match) was amazing. The second (Black Hills 168 grain Match) was even better. And the third (Remington 175 grain Sierra Matchking) was garbage. However, the second set produce a 1/2 inch group with a called flier. Without the flier it is closer to 1/4 inch. I have started reloading my own rounds and hope they will produce the same kind of results. Thank you for producing a production line rifle with such high quality. I am sold and highly recommend your rifle to the serious shooter as long as they test different rounds and loads before they give up. Included is a scanned copy of the Black Hills group of five shots. Thanks again.

I just wanted to send a picture of my 300yrd target. Needless to say I'm very pleased on how good this rifle shoots! My first shot was a little low and I over adjusted and hit high on the second shot (by the # "10") the other 20 shots were all X's with one touching the X line, I counted that one. This gun is factory, the only things I've done are; I changed out the A-2 upper to a DPMS flat top and changed the handguard to a DPMS 4 rail system. I topped it with a Leupold 4.5-14x 50mm Ill. reticle, Leupold Mark 4 rings with a picatinny riser.

Here is my most recent group at 100 yards with the 18" .308 Bull Barrel. I fired 6 shots from left to right. I pulled one, it's left of the quarter but the other 5 are between the quarter and penny. Great rifle! Wish I had one of each.

This group is at 100 yards with Black Hills 168 Grain. I love my dpms 308 bull 18 inch barrel. This rifle is the mos taccurate rifle I have ever shot. I'm still practicing for the longer shots.

I want to thank you for all your help and support during the 2007 season. The majority of my AR-15 is DPMS parts. The only exceptions are the barrel (a Satern) and the trigger (a Geissele). The rifle performed better than I could ever ask. At a Mid-Range (600 yard) match at Benchrest Club of St. Louis I fired a 200-9X clean at 600 yards, which was my best score to date. This rifle has made a world of difference in my shooting. I am going to try my hand at long range with the AR-15, and I’ll be sure and let you know how it turns out.

I took the rifle (LR-260) out to 1000 today and it performed like a winner. There is a 5 shot group on the IPSC steel plate and I set the pepper poppers twice and they went down both times (the popper on the left has both impacts on the same spot). You make an excellent auto-loader.

Wanted to send you a copy of my first shots with the LR-308.

P.S. I have recommended this rifle and your carbine (.308) to all my friends including a few units going back to Afghanistan.

Dear DPMS gods,
Wow. I am incredibly impressed with my new DPMS LR-308. I like it so much, I actually find dry-firing to be fun. Who knew?

Please find (attached) my best 200 yard 3-shot group of the day. This was off the bench, using a laptop bag as the rest. It measures just over a half inch!

Thanks for making such a great product!

I fired this 3-shot group at 300 yards on September 25, 2005, with a DPMS Panther Bull 24 and 69-grain .223 Federal Gold Medal Match ammunition. This rifle will shoot 1/4 inch (3-shots) groups at 100 yards all day long if I do my part. The only modifications that I have made include adding an Accuwedge, tactical grip, and tactical latch charging handle. This is the most accurate rifle that I have ever owned. Thanks for building a quality product!

I have a DPMS Panther .308 with a 16-inch barrel. I have 70 rounds through this rifle and am still testing ammo. I was recently challenged by someone owning an AR-style rifle manufactured by a DPMS competitor to a 3 shot group competition at 100 meters. Lets just say he was shocked at the results when he witnessed my target when it was all said and done. I got bored waiting for him and his barrel to cool off so I shot the Winchester down range knowing it flies differently than the Federal. (That's the fourth shot in the middle.) I bought this rifle for boar hunting and it is the most accurate rifle I own!

These are my first 25 rounds after zeroing my new DPMS LR-308. All of them are at 100 yards using 147 gr ammo. Temperature was 91 degrees and still.

I have wanted one of your LR .308 since you offered it and I must say I am beyond impressed with this rifle. I am still not finished breaking in the barrel, but thus far this rifle has delivered bolt rifle accuracy out of a semi-automatic platform. I picked up the rifle on 02/18/05 and I have taken it out twice so far. I have not found any .308 ammo that this rifle did not like. Today, I shot Federal 180 gr Sierra Pro-hunter ammo and Federal Gold Metal Match 168 grs... The FGMM is a 4 round group at 100 yards. Wind was coming out of the west at 9mph. To date, I have shot, Black Hill, Federal Gold Metal Match, Federal Pro-hunter, and Norma Oryx ammo out of this rifle.

Randy,
Here is a 5 shot group at 300 yards from your AR-10 (LR-308). I used the new Leupold 6.5x24 M1 scope and 168gr. Hornaday A MAX ammo. Shots were fired in quick succession and went from right to left. I measured the group center to center at 1.5"! It was witnessed by the Illinois State Police Tactical Response Unit Coordinator for Southern Illinois. What was it Flounder said in Animal House "Boy, this is great!"

DPMS Panther Arms,
Although my start with this gun started out shaky... to your credit it sure does shoot! After approximately 300 some rounds down range I did this tonight. It's at 82 feet from a sand bag rest, no wedge, buffer or adjustable trigger. Broken in right out of the box, no modifications As you can clearly see, I'm in agreement your guns can and do shoot 1/2 moa. This group (outside to outside) is covered by a dime, it's not my best form either, it was a last minute thing, five quick ones to see how steady I was.

Groupings obtained by Jacob Gottfriedson using the PantherTM; LR-308. Jacob used 168 Nosler BTHR Win Match ammo. The top two groupings are at 100 yards and the bottom two groupings are are from 300 yards away.
