DPMS SETS SAIL ON THE USS GEORGE WASHINGTON

WinnerSgt. Monte Nelson of the Northfield MN Police Department used the DPMS .308 SASS Rifle (pictured left) to take First Place in the Minnesota SOTA (Special Operations & Tactics Association) Sniper competition conducted by Tony Caspers of Final Option on March 9th at the Del-Tone/Luth Gun Range.

Civilian and Law Enforcement Armorer’s Courses

DPMS Firearms, LLC is proud to offer a Civilian Armorer’s Course. The Civilian Armorer’s Course is a (1) one-day Comprehensive course and will be conducted at the DPMS factory. This course includes history, nomenclature, troubleshooting as it relates to the cycle of function, assembly and disassembly, cleaning and maintenance, comprehensive service and diagnostic theory. Cost for this course is $250.00 per person.  Minimum is 10, maximum is 12.

DPMS Firearms, LLC is also proud to offer Law Enforcement Only Armorer’s Courses for the DPMS line of rifles and carbines.  These courses will be conducted on location at the hosting department.

The two-day armorer’s course for officers covers everything from history, nomenclature, and cycle of operation; basic assembly and disassembly of the major component parts, advanced assembly and disassembly, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting and diagnostic theory. This course will include service, maintenance, and troubleshooting select-fire weapons. Cost for the two-day Standard Armorer’s course is $350.00 per person.  Minimum is 10, maximum is 20.

The one-day advanced course is for officers who have completed another similar armorer’s course and seek certification on the DPMS line of rifles and carbines.  This intensive course focuses on advanced assembly and disassembly, troubleshooting, and diagnostic theory. This course will include service, maintenance, and troubleshooting select-fire weapons. Cost for the one-day Advanced Course is $250.00 per person. Minimum is 10, maximum is 20.

In all classes, rifles and tools are provided for each student.  A one-time, manufacturer-direct discount will also be awarded to each student for the purchase of one (1) DPMS rifle or carbine at Master Dealer Pricing. Payment in advance is required with a 25% non-refundable deposit.  If you are unable to attend, you will be allowed to register for the next available course by or we will refund your registration fee less the 25% deposit.

In addition, the following dates are scheduled for the DPMS One (1) day LE Advanced Armorer’s Course and the one (1) day Civilian Comprehensive Armorer's classes to be held at the DPMS factory in Saint Cloud, MN.  All Law Enforcement personnel must forward a copy of their credentials or a formal request on agency letterhead to attend. 

Once registration is filled, the course will be closed. Cost is $250 per person and includes the DPMS Armorer’s manual, 3-year Manufacturer’s Certification and the one-time discounted price on a rifle.  Should registration fail to meet the minimum requirement, the class may be cancelled or rescheduled at the discretion of DPMS.  Should this occur, a full refund will be given to each student unable to attend on the alternate date.
